Charter Capital is pleased to announce that its client, Plummer’s Environmental Services, Inc, has been acquired by GFL Environmental (“GFL”), a portfolio company of Apollo Asset Management. Charter served as the exclusive sell-side advisor to Plummer’s in the transaction.
Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Plummer’s provides industrial and municipal environmental services across the Michigan market. The company’s offerings include industrial waste collection, transportation, treatment, and disposal, as well as municipal services such as sewer system maintenance and hydro excavation. The acquisition by GFL – a North American leader in environmental services – further strengthens GFL’s industrial and environmental services platform, expanding its presence and capabilities across key regional markets.
“We’re proud to have advised Plummer’s Environmental Services through this important transaction,” said Mark Streekstra, Partner and Managing Director at Charter Capital. “Plummer’s has long set the standard for industrial services in the region, and we’re confident this partnership with GFL will create exciting opportunities for continued growth and innovation.”
“This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for our team and customers,” said Todd Plummer, President of Plummer’s Environmental Services. “We’re grateful to Charter Capital for their guidance throughout the process, and we look forward to joining forces with GFL to continue to grow and serve our customers.”
The Charter Capital deal team included Mark Streekstra, Partner and Managing Director; Zach Wiersma, Director; Travis Read, Senior Analyst; and Thomas DeVries, Analyst. Miller Johnson served as legal counsel to Plummer’s.
