Crystal Flash is growing beyond its West Michigan roots again. The fuel distribution company announced on Monday, July 29, it has acquired C. Barron & Sons of Monroe, in the southeast corner of Michigan.

The deal will bring more than 2,000 new customers, 28 new employees and four new locations to Crystal Flash, according to Dave Montgomery, vice president of operations. It’s the sixth acquisition for Crystal Flash in the past 18 months and will allow the company to expand its product lines, customer base and geographic reach, according to a news release announcing the a Save & Close acquisition.

The acquisition is a direct result of a targeted growth strategy supported by The Charter Group, merger and acquisition advisor to Crystal Flash. ‍
