Ben is a Vice President on the investment team of the Charter Growth Capital Fund, a mezzanine debt and minority equity fund. He is responsible for deal execution, diligence, sourcing, and portfolio management of active investments.

Prior to joining Charter, Ben was a Field Associate for Atlas Holdings at their automotive portfolio company Motus Integrated Technologies headquartered in Holland, Michigan. At Motus, Ben led financial planning and analysis and also worked on M&A. His transaction experience included acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and refinancings. Additionally, he was a Board observer and provided decision support analyses for major value creation projects including commercial negotiations, capital allocation, inorganic opportunities, and real estate.

Ben began his career in Chicago, Illinois where he worked in finance for Kraft Heinz and as a management consultant at Alvarez & Marsal. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, he attended Ohio State University and studied Finance. Ben lives in Grand Rapids with his wife Samantha and enjoys wearing scarlet and grey around Michigan, eating ice cream, and fossil hunting.
