Fulton Industries Rochester operations acquired by American Axle & Manufacturing

American Axle & Manufacturing Inc. (AAM) has acquired the Rochester, Indiana, operations of Fulton Industries, a 75,000 square foot high-capacity precision CNC casting machining facility. At the peak of operation, the facility operated three shifts, 24 hours per day. With the acquisition of the facility by AAM, approximately 70 jobs will be retained in the Rochester community.

According to John Razzano, Chairman and CEO, Fulton Industries, “Having a company like American Axle, a tier one automotive supplier, move into Rochester, Indiana is a very positive development for the entire community.”

AAM is a highly successful company that will bring great things to the Rochester community.”

With more than 30 locations in 13 countries, AAM employs 11,700 associates. A publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange, it ranks in the top 50 Tier One suppliers in the world. Its customer base encompasses more than 100 automotive manufacturers, including GM, Chrysler, Daimler, Volkswagen, Audi, Harley-Davidson, Mack Truck, John Deere, and Nissan.

Fulton Industries was founded in 1978. After numerous expansions, the company took a major growth step in 2002, forming PGI Manufacturing, LLC to acquire additional assets as well as three manufacturing locations. Following the sale of Fulton Industries Rochester, PGI continues to offer customers a broad range of machining capabilities from its additional facilities.
